Landscape photography, landscape painting, and poetry have a lot in common. I like to believe that landscape painting evolved to become landscape photography, although both now exist side by side. All three, however, invoke your deepest emotions. It’s why most landscape artists are also poets.
Tuscany is a gorgeous place with lots of natural beauty. I love being able to capture the vast unending spaces or the little-known nooks and crannies of this destination. Using my photography to document the feeling and setting of the locations that I encounter comes so naturally to me.
For example, many people fall in love when they see the rolling hills of Chianti. Nothing can beat the views of the gorgeous landscapes dotted with villas and country homes. It will invoke a feeling in you like no other, the same feeling you will get when you see a landscape photo that captures that view.
Or you can take a walk through the narrow streets of Siena with its majestic cathedrals and inviting squares. All those memories will come calling back, bringing a smile to your face, when you see the picture of a narrow doorway captured in Siena. For me, this is the beauty that Landscape photography represents.
